Hurricane Relief Efforts for LSP Alumni in Need

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we know that the St. Pete community has a long road to recovery. For years, Leadership St. Pete (LSP) and the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association (LSPAA) have stood strong in supporting the St. Pete community. Now, we are turning to our community for help.

The recent storms have caused devastating losses and deeply impacted many, including some of our own alumni. These leaders, who have given so much to our city, need our support. We’re all in this together, and no one should have to navigate recovery alone.

We believe in the power of coming together, which is why LSP and LSPAA have partnered to launch a Hurricane Relief Fundraiser, focused on providing aid to alumni whose lives and livelihoods were disrupted. This fund, supported by tax-deductible donations to the LSPAA Foundation, aims to offer financial and volunteer support to help alumni recover from significant personal or business losses due to the storms.

Our goal is to distribute funds quickly to cover immediate needs, and we are counting on your generosity. We invite you to donate to the LSP Alumni Hurricane Relief Fund. Every contribution helps make a difference.

Additionally, we're also seeking volunteer support to assist with recovery efforts, whether it's help with debris removal, cleanup, repairs, or other recovery efforts. If you're able to lend a hand, please fill out our Volunteer Sign-up Form.

If you or a fellow alum have been impacted by these storms and your home or business has been affected, we invite you to share your needs by filling out the form(s) below.

The deadline for donations and applications is October 31, 2024, so we can ensure timely aid to those in need.

Let’s come together, as we always have, to support one another in this time of need.

About Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association

Since 1975, the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association (LSPAA) has been a pillar of community engagement and leadership development in St. Petersburg. Founded by graduates of the Leadership St. Pete (LSP) program, the LSPAA was created to keep alumni connected, foster ongoing leadership, and give back to the community we all love. Today, we call upon that very community to help those who need it most.

About Leadership St. Pete

As one of the oldest leadership programs in America and a division of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate 501(c)(3) Foundation, Leadership St. Pete (LSP) is a dynamic, intensive, interactive, six-month experience designed to promote and enhance community leadership through an in-depth introduction to social, economic, business and political issues in the St. Petersburg area. Since 1970, LSP has identified, recruited, and developed leaders who represent the diversity of our city and who will assume future leadership roles in our community.
