Get to Know Cardio Sport - St. Pete!

Melissa Gwinn, owner of Cardio Sport - St. Pete, moved to St. Pete from Massachusetts in 2021 with her 3 young children. After unexpectedly losing her husband in 2020, Melissa was inspired to live life to its fullest and follow her dreams.

She had worked as a Cardio Sport Trainer in Massachusetts since 2014 and wanted to spread the love of this one-of-a-kind exercise system with others. She invested in the first franchise from the company and moved herself and children to St. Pete to start fresh and open her business in the beautiful sunshine city.

Q: Melissa, how long have you been in business and tell us how Cardio Sport - St. Pete got started.

A: I opened Cardio Sport - St. Pete on June 1st, 2022. I love what I do. I have had amazing results with this program myself and wanted to share that with the world.

 

Q: What is your business industry, category or specialty?

A: My business industry is sports fitness. Cardio Sport was developed as a fitness solution for those who love sports. Our specialty is delivering a fun, inclusive, sports inspired fitness system that creates amazing results.

 

Q: What products/services do you provide, and what sets you apart from competitors?

A: We provide our signature "Team Dynamic" fitness classes that make you feel like you're playing a game while delivering a total body exercise experience. We provide sports inspired small group strength training "Team CST". Customized Personal Training, sports team athletic conditioning, and special team building events.
Q: Why did you choose St. Pete for your business?
A: I chose St. Pete mainly because I loved the culture and the small town feel of the city. There is always something to do and see here. The people love sports and wellness and I thought it would be a great place for my business to thrive and to raise my children.
Q: You have a big event coming up with the Rowdies at the end of July, tell us about that! 
A: Yes! On Saturday, July 29th, we invite our St. Pete community to join us at Al Lang Stadium at 9am for a fun, athletic workout adventure. In the evening, we'll get back together to cheer on the Rowdies as they take on Tulsa FC! Tickets are just $30 each and include both the workout and game ticket! Only 100 spots available for this one of a kind event!!
